Why massage?
Massage is not a luxury, it is health maintenance. Receiving
regular massages keeps the immune system functioning at an optimal level, in
turn keeping you healthy and less likely to become sick. In the event you do
become sick, symptoms are less severe and recovery time is far shorter as a
result. Regular massages also relieve unhealthy tension and stress caused by
everyday life.
During a massage, your muscles are rid of toxins,
flushing out metabolites in the process. Provided you drink plenty of water after your massage, your bladder will gladly show these toxins the exit! Massage
also helps to balance the autonomic nervous system which is responsible for the stimulation of blood vessels and secretion of hormones.
Deep massage is aimed at eliminating muscular adhesions that cause acute and
chronic pain.
In conjunction with regular massage therapy, be sure to eat a healthy balanced diet, and (I can't stress this enough) drink A LOT of water. Ask about
